STRANDHOTELLET BLOKHUS OPENS UP ITS DOORS IN THE SUMMER OF 2017

Strandhotellet Blokhus will open up its doors for the first time in the summer of 2017, and this calls for a celebration. If you’re looking for a hotel break in beautiful and eventful surroundings at a reasonable price, Strandhotellet Blokhus in Northern Jutland is just the right choice for you.

Strandhotellet Blokhus contains 38 rooms, restaurant, wellness, dining room, etc. Each room is also equipped with its own wooden balcony. The restaurant serves food on mornings, afternoons and evenings. You can enjoy your meal in the dining room, the garden or in the orangery. If you don’t want to use the hotel restaurant, there are lots of other restaurants and eating places in the town of Blokhus. There’s something for every taste.

Strandhotellet Blokhus will be under the ownership of Marie Louise and Steffen Ebdrup, who also live in the local area. The hotel is designed by Danish architect Jørgen Ussing and it is built with a red tile roof and white plastered walls, a style considered to be genuinely “Blokhus”. The hotel has also drawn some inspiration from the well-known Danish television show “Badehotellet”, which most Danes are acquainted with.

In order to ensure that Strandhotellet Blokhus conforms to the highest standards, the proprietors have associated Sofia Stenstrup as a project assistant. Sofia is the daughter of Steen Stenstrup, proprietor of Hotel Villa Provence in Aarhus. Last year, his hotel was named the best hotel in Denmark. Together with the proprietors, Sofia and Steen have taken part in all major decisions concerning the hotel, and they’ll be a part of the project all the way to the grand opening in the summer of 2017.

Just a 5 minutes’ stroll from the hotel you can also find one of the best swimming beaches in Northern Europe – Blokhus beach. It stretches from Rødhus and all the way to Løkken. During the summer, this is a very popular destination for a lot of people, so there is always a great summer atmosphere to be found on the beach.
